Locally shot ‘Under the Dome’ cancelled

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — “Under the Dome” has been cancelled.

Sheila Brothers with the Wilmywood Daily said the sci-fi show was originally going to start filming in Utah for its 4th season before being cancelled.

CBS says the season finale will air September 10. The show was based on the Stephen King novel with the same name.

The series first started filming in Wilmington back in 2013, and was then set to move to Utah. Set pieces and costumes from the show were up for sale at Screen Gem Studios last week.
