TWC customers talk about continuing connectivity troubles

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Time Warner Cable customers tell us they continue to experience problems with their cable and internet. Yesterday, during the Panther’s playoff game, some folks in our area experienced outages. It’s the second Sunday in less than a month where there were interruptions.

“So our internet speeds will slow down and then pretty much slow down and stop to nothing at that point,” said Dwayne Kincaid, a business owner who has had internet issues with Time Warner since 2012. “We are frustrated. We are looking at other options. We have backup plans in place when internet slows down and we have to roll our phones over to certain places. We are looking at different options. ”

This weekend a number of customers experienced outages during the Panther’s game, taking to Twitter to find a fix to the problems.

They tweeted things like:

“Honestly I’m done with this. I pay you to watch these games and I can’t. I want my money back.”

and

“Internet just quit in Wilmington NC. Again. Happening at least once a week anymore. This is absurd and my money is being wasted.”

We reached out to Time Warner Cable, they responded with a statement saying, “We apologize to those customers that experienced an interruption with their service yesterday. We engaged all appropriate teams and resolved the issue as quickly as possible. ”
