2020 Maple Hill triple murder trial underway in Pender County
PENDER COUNTY (WWAY) — A murder trial is underway for one of two people accused in a triple murder that happened in Maple Hill three years ago.
A deputy with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office among those taking the stand Thursday. He described to the jury what he and other deputies found at the crime scene in the 400 block of John Pickett Road in Maple Hill on November 8th, 2020.
Deputies found 22-year-old Destiny Denise Green, who was 7-months pregnant, and 26-year-old William Lenwood Coley III shot dead. The deputy said that Coley’s body was found outside of the home, in the bushes with blood near his face and hair. In May of 2021, Michael Miller was arrested and charged in connection
