Wilmington Police, Bomb Squad clear suspicious package found at Wilmington Walmart

WILMINGTON (WWAY) — Wilmington Police and the Cape Fear Regional Special Teams Bomb Squad cleared a suspicious package found in the Walmart parking lot on Sigmon Road in Wilmington on Saturday.

The package was determined to be a non-hazardous temperature monitoring device left in a blueberry package.

The parking lot was closed after 7 a.m. while officials conducted the investigation. It reopened about an hour later.
