WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One of the best meteor showers of the year is peaking the next two nights.

The annual Geminid meteor shower is set to dazzle stargazers Wednesday and Thursday night.

There is no specific direction to look, as they should be visible all over the sky.

The best time to view the meteors is late night through the dawn.

Conditions look perfect to see up to 120 meteors per hour, due to new moon conditions leading to a dark sky.

Geminids are known for bold, white, bright meteors.
