Skywatch Rescue offering bird of prey sponsorships for the holidays

CASTLE HAYNE (WWAY) — If you’re looking for a unique gift this holiday season, Skywatch Bird Rescue has you covered.

The rescue is offering sponsorships for the birds of prey through the end of the year which will help cover the cost of feeding and caring for the birds.

Sponsors can choose an ambassador bird like an owl, hawk, osprey or falcon. For $100 it includes a holiday email with photo and custom message from your bird, and for $150 you can have a face-to-face meeting with the option of glove-holding your sponsored bird, plus admission to the rescue for two people.

The birds are all disabled in some way and are in retirement at Skywatch Bird Rescue in Castle Hayne.
