ABC News’ Gio Benitez marries Tommy DiDario

ABC News Correspondent Gio Benitez married boyfriend Tommy DiDario Saturday.

The two wed in front of family, friends and ABC News colleagues inside the historic Walton House in Miami, Florida.

“It’s so special to see how excited our friends and family have been about this wedding,” Benitez said in a statement to People magazine. “It truly is a celebration of love –- our own, and what love means in their own lives. We are so moved and humbled to celebrate together.”

“Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry served as best man for Benitez, 30, and Meg, the sister of DiDario, also 30, officiated the ceremony.

ABC News journalists, including Martha Raddatz, Rebecca Jarvis, Kendis Gibson, Cecilia Vega and Alex Perez, along with Sam Champion attended the nuptials.

Before the big day, the couple held a pre-wedding event in Key Largo, Florida.

Benitez and DiDario got engaged last September when the ABC News correspondent dropped down to one knee in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
