Jackson Tyler leads New Hanover to team title at Mideastern Conference Championship

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover’s Jackson Tyler fired a 77 on Monday at Magnolia Greens in Leland. Laney’s Jackson Young fired a 77. Jackson Tyler ended up winning medalist honors after beating Jackson Young in a playoff after the conclusion of Monday’s round.

Jackson Tyler wasn’t the only New Hanover golfer to go low on Monday. In fact New Hanover won the team title with a 321 score. West Brunswick finished in second place at the Mideastern Conference Championship Tournament.

New Hanover and Hoggard will both advance to the 4-A east regionals. West Brunswick will advance to the 3-A east regionals.
