‘Fresh Chance Friday’ offering legal information, employment opportunity returning to MLK Center next month

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — ‘Fresh Chance Friday’ is returning to the MLK Center next month.

This is the second year the event will be held, designed to connect the citizens of New Hanover County with employment opportunities and legal information for record expunction.

The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on February 2nd.

“Our first Fresh Chance Friday was a huge success. So many in our community came out to get the help they needed to improve their situations for themselves and their families,” said Rashad Gattison, PCU Director. “Because of how successful the first event was, we knew we needed another opportunity help residents overcome obstacles to employment. Fresh Chance Friday is not only about personal and career growth but a chance to strengthen the bonds within our community.”

The event is free for attendees and will also include complimentary food and beverages.
