East Bladen’s Evers hits 600-win milestone

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. (WWAY) – On Friday, Patty Evers led the East Bladen Eagles to career win #600 for the legendary coach.

Evers was serenaded post game by fans, and given a celebratory ball and banner. She also spoke highly of one of her peers, SouthWest Edgecombe High School’s Sandra Langley, who she said she remains in contact with.
“Sandra Langley, she’s the overall leader all time in the state,” said Evers. “She’s still coaching 40some years later. We always email each other when big things happen.”
The Eagles are tied for the stop spot in conference. She admits she doesn’t have another 600 wins in her, but her East Bladen teams keep winning.
