Jewelers gearing up for Valentine’s Day

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Wednesday marks one week until Valentine’s Day. WWAY checked in at a jeweler to see how they’re preparing for the big day.

Perry’s Emporium Sales Director Josh Perry said he and his team have been knee deep in diamonds over the past few months gearing up for the big day.

He said this year’s more popular items include diamond studs and permanent jewelry. He said, “in the name of love,” he and his team brainstorm ways to add a little extra romance to sales made during this time.

“Purchases at $99 and up are gonna receive a card. $299 and up, you’re gonna get a box of chocolates and a card. If you spend that $699 price point or higher, you’re gonna get roses, chocolates, and cards all right here,” Perry said.

Perry said apart from Christmas, Valentine’s Day is their best business season.
