Ocean Isle Beach firefighter retires after 30 years of volunteer service

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A long-time member of the Ocean Isle Beach Fire Department has retired.

Firefighter Neal Northrup joined the Department in 1994, serving for 30 years.

Neal says he has seen a lot of change over the years and was proud to be a part of the positive change to the organization.

He was presented with a plaque from the Department thanking him for his service.
