Numerous people arrested in Columbus County round-up operation

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested numerous people in a round-up operation.

The operation aimed to address probation violations and ensure the safety and security of the community, according to the Sheriff’s Office:

March 18th

21 – Residence searches were attempted.

14 – Searches were successfully completed on offenders found at home.

3 – Absconders were apprehended.

4 – Firearms were seized.

6 – Individuals were arrested on felony charges.

1 – Individual was arrested on a misdemeanor charge.

9 – Probation violation arrests were made as a result of the searches.

3 – Outstanding orders for arrest were served.

6 – Authority to arrest executed.

March 19th, 2024

28 – Residence searches were attempted.

14 – Searches were successfully completed on offenders found at home.

1 – Absconder was apprehended.

3 – Firearms were seized.

5 – Individuals were arrested on felony charges.

7 – Probation violation arrests were made as a result of the searches.

1 – Outstanding order for arrest was served.
