Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrest man accused of parole violation

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man accused of parole violation.

Aaron Bernard Phifer was taken into custody on March 27th at Sandy Ridge Apartments in Whiteville.

He was wanted by the United States Marshals Service for violating federal probation.

During Phifer’s arrest, the Sheriff’s Office says they discovered Phifer was in possession of a firearm.

Phifer was charged with Felony Carrying a Concealed Firearm and Felony Possession of Firearm by a Felon.

He was given no bond.
