Jamaal Green sentenced to life in prison for murdering Bladen County woman in 2021

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man on trial for the murder of Bladen County woman Jacqueline Elaine Landreth has been found guilty.
Jamaal Green was convicted of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and First Degree Murder.
Green was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole by Judge Thomas Lock.
On February 14th, 2021 Lynn Landreth was reported missing by her sister to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office which began a missing persons investigation. Lynn’s body was later located in a wooded area off of Klondyke Road in Columbus County.
She had been shot in the head and her throat had been cut twice.
Timothy Cain II and Green were arrested for murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon and Amanda Williamson was arrested for Accessory After the Fact.
Cain was previously convicted by a jury for the same crimes earlier this year and also received a life sentence.
Williamson testified at both Cain and Green’s trial and her case is still pending.
