South Brunswick Softball going to state championship

Cougars swept South Central in East Regional Final, winning 14-3 Wednesday

BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. (WWAY) – The South Brunswick Cougar softball team is headed to the state championship for the first time since 2007.

The Cougars took down South Central for the second night in a row in dominant fashion. In aggregate, South Brunswick won the series 25-3.

South Brunswick will face either Kings Mountain or Piedmont in another best-of-three series at either Duke or UNC Greensboro that will begin Friday, May 31st.

South Brunswick is now 25-4 on the season.
