Public invited to provide design input for new Hampstead Branch library

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — Pender County is designing a new, larger library in Hampstead and seeks design input from the public.
This new library will replace the existing Pender County Library Hampstead Branch and will be located on Highway 17 next to the Pender County Government Annex.
To gather information on community needs, a survey is available online at penderpubliclibrary.org and in paper form at the Hampstead Branch Library (75 Library Drive) and the Main Library in Burgaw (103 S. Cowan Street). The survey is open until June 23rd.
In addition, there will be several public input sessions at the Hampstead Branch Library: Tuesday, June 11th at 7:00 pm and Thursday, June 13th at 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm.
“These insights will play a crucial role in shaping the design of the new library. By participating, community members can directly influence the initial stages of the design process, ensuring the architecture team understands the community’s needs from the start,” a statement read.
