UPDATE: Surf City Police Department reunites missing pet monkey with owner

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A pet monkey is back home after being on the loose in Surf City.

The monkey went missing in the Canal Streets area.

It was found hours later and captured by Pender County Animal Control.

“Never a boring day in Surf City!”, a post stated.
