WHAT’S HAPPENING: July 5th-7th

WHAT’S HAPPENING (WWAY) — The 4th of July weekend is here and that means many things will be happening in the Cape Fear.

In North Topsail Beach, its the 14th Annual Ocean City Jazz Festival. The festival aims to bring eyes to the genre with multiple musicians, DJ’s and drink tasting events. A variety of food trucks will also be available. Its happening from Friday through Sunday at 2649 Island Drive. Information about tickets and times can be found here.

In Wilmington, tour a piece of history at the Burgwin-Wright House. This gives people the experience into the colonial lifestyle with a guided night tour to get a glimpse into a life without electricity and electronics. The tours typically begin between 8-9pm and tickets need to be purchased ahead of time. Its happening Friday night in downtown Wilmington. Ticket information be can be found here.

In Whiteville, go check out the 1st Annual Freedom Fest. The family friendly event will feature fun for everyone with several different vendors and entertainment. Its happening Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park of America from 8am-2pm.
