Former New Hanover Wildcat Hunter Hodges signs with New York Mets
Two-time state champion also threw at UNCW before finishing his college career with TCU
WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – Another Cape Fear baseball product has gone pro.
New Hanover High School baseball state champion Hunter Hodges has signed with the New York Mets, according to Tim Hower of Coastal Preps.

Hodges went 6-0 with a 2.32 ERA and 51 strikeouts his junior season and closed out career with a 2-0 mark and did not allow an earned run his senior season while striking out 19 over 10 innings of work.
At TCU, he had a 2.16 ERA with 47 strikeouts.
