1 dead, 2 hurt after shooting outside Durham bar

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) – Authorities say one man has been killed and another man and woman serious injured in a shooting outside of a bar in Durham.

Police said in a news release that 30-year-old Stacy Nichols Jr. was killed around 2:15 a.m. Saturday at the Emerald City Ultra Bar And Lounge.

The names of the wounded woman and man were not released.

Police say they are looking for a black 2001 Acura MDX with a North Carolina license plate YZW-7897 that appeared to be involved in the crime. The car was reported stolen Friday.

Investigators have not given a motive for the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
