Bash at the Beach Football Jamboree dates changed due to weather
BRUNSWICK COUNTY (WWAY) — Due to weather from Tropical Storm Debby this week in the Cape Fear, local high school football teams will have to wait just a bit longer to take the field.
According to West Brunswick Athletics social media, the Bash at the Beach Football Jamboree dates have been changed. The original dates were Thursday, August 15th and Friday, August 16th. According to a North Carolina state rule, 10 practices with pads are required before scrimmages are allowed. Weather from Tropical Storm Debby put the teams slightly behind schedule. The new game schedule with dates and times are listed below. West Brunswick Athletics noted that game times may vary due to the pace of games.

- South Columbus vs North Brunswick – 5PM
- Havelock vs Hoggard – 6:15PM
- Kinston vs New Hanover – 7:15PM
- Northside-Jacksonville vs Ashley – 8:30PM
– SATURDAY AUG. 17TH
- Whiteville vs Laney – 5PM
- Wallace-Rose Hill vs Topsail – 6:15PM
- East Duplin vs South Brunswick – 7:15PM
- East Bladen vs West Brunswick – 8:30PM
