Man arrested on drug charges in Columbus County

Chadbourn, NC (WWAY) – A man faces several drug charges following a narcotics investigation in Chadbourn.

According to a news release, law enforcement executed a search warrant, which led to the arrest of Malik Jaquan Billings, also known by the alias “Hatch.”

Billings has been charged with the following crimes.

· Trafficking in Opium or Heroin

· Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine

· Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana

· Maintaining a Dwelling Place for the Sale of a Controlled Substance

· Altering/Stealing/Destroying Criminal Evidence

· Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

· Resisting a Public Officer

Billings received a $75,000 secured bond.

The sheriff’s office says Billings has been the focus of previous narcotic-related investigations.
