U.S. Cellular offers unlimited data plan

(WWAY) – About two weeks after Verizon unveiled its offer of an unlimited data plan, U.S. Cellular is following suit with an unlimited data plan of its own.

According to a company press release, the plan will enable consumers and small businesses to receive unlimited data starting at $40 per line for 4 lines, or $60 per month for a single line, as long as the individual enrolls in Autopay/paperless billing.

The press release says that the new plan, called the Total Plans with No Hidden Fees, has no activation fees, monthly device connection charges, phone upgrade fees, or data overage fees.

“We want to be forthright with our customers by knocking out hidden fees once and for all, and showing wireless users exactly what they are paying for,” said Jeremy Taylor, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in eastern North Carolina. “Our new plans allow families and small businesses to customize their plans for each individual’s needs.”

The plans are available to both new and current customers. Monthly payment options include 20, 24, or 30 months.

More details about options such as data buckets, family discounts, video streaming, and international calling can be viewed at Uscellular.com or by calling a U.S. Cellular representative at 1-888-944-9400.
