Deadly motorcycle crash in Brunswick County
WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash that happened last Sunday near Winnabow.
According to a trooper with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Sunday evening just after 5 p.m. on U-S 17 and Bell Swamp Connection near Winnabow.
The trooper says an SUV failed to yield to a motorcycle, and the two vehicles collided in the intersection.
The motorcyclist, Chance Rembert, 19, was ejected and died at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was Constance Papa, 86, and he suffered minor injuries and is facing charges of Misdemeanor Death by Vehicle and Failure to Yield Right of Way.
