2.3 magnitude earthquake reported near Davidson County

DAVIDSON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) – A 2.3 magnitude earthquake was reported near Davidson and Davie counties in North Carolina Friday night.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake was detected 4.3 miles away from Advance, North Carolina and about 10 miles away from Lexington, North Carolina around 8:25 p.m.

The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 2 kilometers.
