WWAY Cookies with Santa event spreads holiday cheer

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Christmas is less than two weeks away, but Santa paid a visit to the WWAY Event Center Saturday and of course there had to be some cookies to enjoy. 

Willis roofing sponsored cookies with Santa at the WWAY Event Center. Admission was free but people were asked to donate a gently used or new coat. People of all ages got to enjoy pictures with Santa, cookies and milk, and festive crafts.  

Jim Willis with Willis Roofing enjoyed being at the event. 

“You know the kids tell Santa what they want for Christmas and sharing for the coats for Santa. Watching the kids have cookies with Santa and make all their own ornaments and it’s a good time out here,” Willis said.  

All of the coats that were collected will be donated to One Warm Coat.
