Whiteville police investigating Sunday shooting

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) – Whiteville Police are investigating a shooting that occurred just after 8:00 P.M. Sunday night where they found a man shot twice in the back.

Police tell us they responded to 104 S. MLK Jr. Drive where they found Thurman Jones shot twice in the back. He was transported to Columbus Regional where he is in stable condition.

Investigators are on the scene at this time.
