Shots fired into home in Tabor City

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies responded to a report of shots fired into a home in Tabor City on December 26th.

According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, the homeowner received threats from her ex-boyfriend that he was going to shoot up her house with others.

When deputies were on their way, Columbus Central received reports of shots fired in the area. When they arrived, deputies located a male suspect, who fled when confronted. After a search of the area, deputies were unable to locate the suspect.

After further investigation, multiple bullet holes were discovered in the house, with one shell casing found inside and another outside the residence.

The investigation is ongoing.
