Shooting near Whiteville leaves two injured

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Columbus County deputies responded to a shooting at a building on Baldwin Road near Whiteville that left a man and woman injured.

According to Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, a 23-year-old man was shot in the side of the face, and a 28-year-old woman was grazed by a round in the back of the neck.

Both are recovering in the hospital, and the investigation remains active.
