Rotary Club of South Brunswick Islands hosting inaugural Monte Carlo Night

SUNSET BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Rotary Club of South Brunswick Islands is preparing to host its first-ever Monte Carlo Night, a fundraising event filled with dinner, casino games, live entertainment, and exciting auction opportunities.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 15, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Sea Trail Convention Center in Sunset Beach.

“Monte Carlo has it all,” said Rotary Club Member Anne Hewett. “We’ve got $10,000 in casino cash, Las Vegas-style casino games like roulette, craps, and blackjack, plus a DJ, a 50/50 drawing, and incredible auction items, including trips to Africa and a 12-bedroom home in Mexico.”

Attendees will enjoy dinner, one free drink ticket, and access to all casino games, with beer and wine available for purchase. For those unable to attend in person, the online auction is already live, allowing supporters to bid on trips and other items remotely.

Proceeds from the event will go directly to the South Brunswick Islands Rotary Foundation, which funds various charitable initiatives in Brunswick County. The club’s efforts focus primarily on youth-related causes, including volunteering for Special Olympics, Coastal Buds (an organization supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their caregivers), and providing free reading programs for children.

“Our motto is ‘Service Above Self,'” Hewett said. “We not only provide financial support but also volunteer for service projects that benefit our community.”

Attendees are encouraged to “dress to impress” for the Valentine’s weekend event.

Tickets can be purchased here.
