Winter weather forces school closures in NC mountain counties

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) — Schools in the North Carolina mountain counties issued closings and delays as blustery winter weather moved into the area.

Ashe, Watauga and Avery County Schools, initially delayed, have now closed for Tuesday. It will be an optional workday for teachers in Ashe County Schools.
