Winter Storm Warning issued for southeastern North Carolina
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Bladen, Columbus, Pender, Brunswick and New Hanover counties ahead of a storm that is likely to bring snow to our coast Wednesday.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington upgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a warning Tuesday afternoon as signs continue to increase to see wintry precipitation around the Cape Fear Region.
A wintry mix of precipitation is expected to begin during the day Wednesday, and change to snow before ending tomorrow night. This will likely impact your evening commute so be prepared for slick conditions starting tomorrow afternoon.
Generally snow accumulations will be 1-3 inches, however there could be isolated higher totals.
