Bladen County Schools to close Wednesday due to weather UPDATE

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Due to the potential for severe weather, Bladen County Schools will be closed for students Wednesday.

According to a press release, Wednesday will be an optional workday and staff will receive information regarding work schedules from their supervisors. 

Also, all after school events, including practices are cancelled for tomorrow. 

(UPDATE 10 p.m.): Columbus County Schools will be also closed on Wednesday or all students and staff due to expected high winds.

Also: Due to the incoming severe storm and in coordination with local emergency management officials, Penderlea School will be closed for all students and staff.

All after-school activities, including PACES, are also canceled.

As a year round school, Penderlea is the only Pender County school in session at this time. All others are on spring break.
