VIDEO: Two on Myrtle Beach ‘slingshot’ ride get national attention

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) — A Twitter video showing two young women on the ‘slingshot’ ride on Myrtle Beach’s very own Ocean Boulevard has gone viral.

It has gained national attention, already amassing over 1.2 million views and almost 8,500 retweets since being posted on Friday, March 16.

The video posted by Megan Connolly, a soccer player for Florida State University, is aptly captioned: “The moment my soul left my body.”

Connolly and her partner in this ‘slingshot’ drama seem to start off looking pumped for the ride, but as soon as the ride leaves the ground, you can hear Connolly begin to panic.

Connolly screamed at the top of her lungs for the entire one minute ride, while her friend laughed so hard, it seems like she could hardly breath!
