Dylan Johnson steps down as West Brunswick Girl’s coach

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The over haul of the Trojans coaching staff has reached the girl’s basketball team where Head Coach Dylan Johnson has announced his resignation.

Daniel Seamans with Brunswick County Schools confirms that Johnson will leave the program after two years as the head coach of the Trojans.

Johnson is in the Army National Guard and in officer candidate school which conflicts with the season and he felt it would not be fair to his players to miss any time as a result.

Johnson had a 26-26 overall record as coach, including a 16-11 year this season and a birth in the state playoffs.
