Jersey Mike’s Subs donating sales to charity on Day of Giving
Jersey Mike’s Subs holds its eighth-annual Day of Giving on Wednesday when 1,360 locations nationwide donate 100 percent of sales to local charities.
According to a company news release, the sub shop expects to generate $6 million in sales. Every sale including subs, chips, drinks and catering orders goes to charities.
Local Jersey Mike’s Subs will donate sales to She ROCKS. They raise $25,000 for the organization last year. She ROCKS raises awareness of ovarian cancer through research funding and support to those going cancer treatment locally.
“On March 28, Day of Giving, we give to give by donating 100 percent of sales to our more than 170 charity partners nationwide,” Jersey Mike’s CEO and founder Peter Cancro said in the news release. “The opportunities to give are all around us so please seek out your opportunity to give and make a difference in someone’s life.”
Day of Giving is the culmination of the company’s Month of Giving campaign. Last year’s Month of Giving raised more than $5.5 million for charities across the country.
