Crews respond to structure fire in Winnabow

WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — Crews responded to a structure fire on Thursday in Winnabow.

According to the Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department, when multiple agencies arrived, they found fire and smoke showing from a detached garage.

The crews stretched an attack hose line to the door for a quick hit on the fire. Mutual aid units began opening walls up, searching for hidden fire and ventilating the structure.

There were no injuries.

While packing the hose, one firefighter got some help from a boy after his parents gave the okay.
