Free fitness program for veterans, active military in Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) — The City of Myrtle Beach will host a free fitness program for veterans and active military members at the Pepper Geddings Recreation Center on Saturday mornings this spring.
The program is called “Healthy Heroes” and consists of an hour long workout with a group fitness instructor. Classes will include cardio exercises, strength training, stretching, and low impact movements.
It’s for all ages but sign up is required. You’re asked to bring your military identification or a copy of your DD214 form to sign up.
Class will be every Saturday from April 7 to June 2. Class starts at 9 a.m. You can register anytime.
The Pepper Geddings Recreation Center is located at 3205 Oak Street in Myrtle Beach.
