Teen airlifted after tree accident in Pender County

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — An 18-year-old was injured while clearing trees in Pender County on Monday.
According to Pender EMS, it happened just before 2:30 p.m. Monday on Wolfe Run Road, which is just off Malpass Corner Road.
Officials say that the teen was airlifted to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Clinic in Wilmington.
The road was temporarily closed so Airlink could land.
No word on the teenager’s current condition.
