An artist pours creativity into Wilmington with shark mural and new vodka

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The ABC Store on Wrightsville Ave had a special guest Saturday to paint a mural and kick off the sale of his new vodka. 

Wyland, the artist of the sea, partnered up with Blue Shark Vodka to create a lemon and vanilla flavored vodka.  

People were able to taste it and get their purchased bottles signed by Wyland. 

Many gathered to also watch him paint a mural of sharks.  

Wyland painted a mural in Wilmington before on a mural tour from Maine to Florida and he’s happy to be back. 

“It’s really great to be back in Wilmington, and you know as an artist I really appreciate not only the quality of the juice, the vodka, but the art on the bottle,” Wyland said. 

Wyland visited the previous mural he’s done in Wilmington and adds he may need to come back for touch ups. This mural can be found at the Best Western Plus Coastline Inn on Nutt Street in Wilmington.
