Seahawks soccer sees season end in tie with Elon

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–It was a quick start for the UNCW Women’s Soccer team on Tuesday night as they jumped out to the 2-0 lead in the 2nd half over Elon, but the Phoenix battled back from that point on to force a 2-2 tie.

Junior Baley Edwards had her first two goal game in her career for UNCW, scoring in the 33rd & 55th minutes. Elon scored twice in a 12 minute span late in the 2nd half to force overtime where UNCW could not find the back of the net.

The Seahawks needed to a win to make this years CAA, so they end their season with a 9-6-1 overall record.
