Man arrested after shooting in Shallotte
SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon near the Wildwood Village development in Shallotte.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of gunfire around 1:00 p.m. in the area of Wildwood Street and East Coast Avenue. No injuries were reported.
Detectives arrested 21-year-old Trevor Raheim Frink of Shallotte in connection with the incident. He is charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied property and is currently being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center without bond.
Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that there is no known ongoing threat to public safety.
