Burgaw mayor to deliver ‘State of the Town’ address next month

BURGAW, N.C. (WWAY) — Burgaw Mayor Olivia Dawson and the Board of Commissioners will host a “State of the Town” address next month, providing residents with updates on current projects and plans for the future.

It will take place on Thursday, August 7, at 6:00 p.m. at the Burgaw Town Center. According to a news release from the Town of Burgaw, the presentation will include updates on infrastructure improvements, community development efforts, and the town’s goals for the coming year.

Mayor Dawson is also expected to discuss recent accomplishments and reflect on challenges the town has faced.

“Transparency and connection with our community are essential,” Dawson said in the release. “Our town has made great strides, and this event is a chance to connect with our residents, share our progress, and look ahead to what’s next.”

The address is open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.
