Wilmington man charged with indecent exposure outside hotel

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man has been charged after allegedly exposing himself outside a hotel room where children were present, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
Officers responded to the Wingate Inn at 5126 Market Street on July 23 after receiving a report of a man engaging in lewd behavior from inside his vehicle. The caller told police she looked out of her window and saw a man exposing himself in a lewd manner while watching a hotel room occupied by children. She said she made eye contact with the man before he left the area.
Officers gathered video evidence and a description of the suspect’s vehicle. A detective later identified the suspect as Dain Larson, 38, of Wilmington.
Warrants were issued for indecent exposure to a minor under the age of 16. Larson was arrested and booked into the New Hanover County Jail. He has since posted a $100,000 secured bond.
