BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man has been convicted of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.

After seven days of trial and a day of deliberations in Brunswick County Superior Court, a jury retuned guilty verdicts for Julian Ivory Johnson on more than three dozen counts of narcotics trafficking and related offenses.

Johnson was sentenced to a minimum of seventeen and a half years in prison and ordered to pay a $250,000.00 fine.

Johnson was the target of multi-state drug trafficking investigation by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office starting in the summer of 2023. During that time, Johnson sold fentanyl and methamphetamine to an informant working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office.

Johnson was arrested with just under a kilo of cocaine after meeting with his source of supply from Texas in Myrtle Beach on November 20, 2023.
