Toews’ record night leads UNCW mens basketball past William & Mary
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–It was a career night for UNCW freshman Kai Toews he finished with a season-high 23 points to lead the Seahawks to the 93-88 win over CAA foe William and Mary.
The win tonight for UNCW tipped off their four game home stand on a positive note. It was another night another double-double for senior Devontae Cacok. He ended the game with his program matching 50th double-double, finishing with 22 points and 16 rebounds.
The key turning point in the game was at the 16:09 mark in the first half, UNCW went on a 14-3 scoring run to take the 19-12 lead. The Seahawks would never trail again in the game after that point.
The home stand continues for UNCW on Saturday when they host Elon at Trask Coliseum with a 4:00 P.M. tip.
