Hoggard basketball sweeps West Brunswick in MEC play
SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY)–It was a night of great second halves on Tuesday for both the Hoggard boys and girls basketball team. The Vikings went on the road and swept West Brunswick in conference play.
In the girls game, its was a one point lead for Hoggard after the first quarter. It was a big third and fourth quarter that proved to be the difference. Icess Tresvik scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Vikings to the 43-25 win.
The boys game between the two started exactly the same way, with both teams scoring early and often. It was a 15-10 advantage for Hoggard in the third quarter, that allowed the Vikings some separation as they picked up the 48-38 win.
West Brunswick basketball will finish their regular season this upcoming Friday night hosting South Brunswick. Hoggard will travel to Brogden hall to take on their rivals the New Hanover Wildcats.
