New Hanover takes down North Brunswick 3-2, surpasses last year’s win total

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Despite it only being the first game of Carolina Coast Conference play, New Hanover volleyball reached a milestone in their five set home win over North Brunswick on Tuesday.

After winning just two games last season, the Wildcats improved to 3-3 on the year with virtually their entire season remaining.

The set scores were 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Mallie Smith led New Hanover with 15 kills. Lindi Holt added four blocks.
