Cerro Gordo man arrested on drug charges

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Cerro Gordo man after receiving numerous complaints of drug activity in the area.

The sheriff’s office says Earl Oxendine was arrested a home where detectives allegedly found a trafficking amount of narcotics, packaging materials and other items used to transport drugs.

He is charged with:

  • Felony Trafficking, Opium or Heroin
  • Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule III Controlled Substance
  • Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He is being held on a $2500 secured bond.
